Ecology Focus Group

Tree Planting 2The theme of the last World Assembly of CLC was From our Roots to the Frontiers, and one of the 'frontiers' identified by the World Ex-Co and confirmed by the Assembly, was Ecology. The Ecology Focus Group was set up following this year's CLC Malta National Assembly to reflect on the documents and recommendations related to this topic from the World and National Assemblies and to propose a way forward for the National Community to become meaningfully engaged in this critical issue of today's world.

Pietre Vive (Living Stones)

Dear Young CLCers,

The Pietre Vive initiative has come to Malta! The group seek to offer spiritual explanations using the art of sacred spaces as a visual aid. Focus is placed on the symbols, religious and iconographic meaning of the works rather on the historical facts and dates. It is a form of evangelisation - of bringing tourists and visitors of the church in touch with the spiritual space into which they would have just entered.

The Ecology Frontier - National Assembly 2013

Tree Planting 2During this year’s annual assembly we reflected on the ways in which we are affecting our planet and all creation through our actions, and what a true Christian response to this crisis entails. During our workshops we came up with a number of ways we can offset our impacts on the environment and ended our session with a tree planting session to symbolize our concrete commitment towards reversing the damage to creation.
